Our Story

Since around 1964, Jon & Connie Stangeland have been an avid horse riders. Often seen on the trail on their 2 palominos, most people recognize/remember them in that manor first while on the trail, vs remembering their actual names. Connie and Jon have ridden in ND/MN/AZ/OK in all types of terrain and have met so many wonderful people.

With an eye for beautiful horses from Jon and Connie, and vision of the next generation going into NRCHA/Reined Cowhorse and NCHA direction from daughter Natalie Stangeland Larson, we have fused unique pedigrees from across the USA to build our ranch for the future. AQHA Lifetime members Jon & Connie and Natalie take pride in involvement with the AQHA, Benefit Cancer Rides and National Stock Horse Association(donators in 2021’s stallion auction). To achieve optimal breeding, our bloodline crosses are chosen for the absolute best future cow horses and cutting horses. Breeding done proudly at the Solo Select Ranch.
